600 - 1PC BONDED NBR/STEEL STAT-O-SEAL® - INCH

Stat-o-seals are one-piece, molded in place seals with the rubber sealing element mechanically locked to the metal retainer. Stat-o-seals are designed to seal beneath the head of the fastener as shown for both internal and external pressure systems. The principle of controlled confinement is utilized in the stat-o-seal. As the fastener is tightened the rubber seal is compressed, forcing the sealing surface securely around the fastener shank-but without squeezing the rubber beyond its elastic limit, or destroying its inherent ?memory?. With the stat- o-seal, there is full metal to metal contact of facing surfaces. Thread seals require no special machining or style of bolt, screw or thread. They are self-centering, non-directional and are low in original cost; can provide considerable savings because they make possible the use of low cost standard fasteners and full threaded fittings. OV - URETHANE SPLIT SAE FLANGE SEAL - INCH

In many cases standard O-rings are not suitable for flange sealing due to marginal conditions such as high pressures or unsuitable surface finish of the flanges. As a result the new polyurethane flange seal profile OV was developed especially for SAE flanges. The particularly low compression set ensures dimensional stability of the seal over a large temperature range. Its high extrusion resistance prevents gap extrusion even if the flanges breathe" under pressure. Due to the good abrasion resistance less gland preparation is necessary on the surface finish of the sealing area of the flange.
