Wear rings are used to prevent metal to metal contact of moving parts in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. They also center the piston and rod for optimum seal life. The glass-filled nylon material offers compressive strengths similar to most metals used for this purpose and will ingest contaminants such as metal chips, thus avoiding scoring and seal damage. Made from Bronze filled TFE, these medium duty, metric wearbands are mostly used in piston applications to ingest metal particles before they get to the seal. -100° to 500° 2200 PSI
MDU - SPLIT TFE/BRONZE/STEEL ROD BUSHING - METRIC
These TFE backup rings are used to increase the pressure rating for u-cups, and are machined to close tolerances. Most sizes are stocked solid. They may be split with a sharp razor knife for ease of installation. Temperature range is -65°F to 500°F.
PSBU - SPLIT NYLON PISTON SEAL BACK UP - METRIC
Metric DU bushings are commonly found in Asian built heavy equipment. These bushings are self-lubricating and made from a bronze alloy with a PTFE lining. They are split for ease of installation. Other sizes are available upon request. Contact sales for more information
NRB - SOLID NYLON ROD BEARING - INCH
This nylon backup ring is used next to TFE piston seals for added extrusion resistance, and can boost pressure ratings for the seal. They are commonly found on Asian manufactured construction equipment. They are used in pairs, but sold individually. See piston seal section for the seals. Other sizes are available upon request. FCB - NYLON FEMALE CENTER BEARING - INCH & METRIC
These bearings are manufactured from a special filled nylon material offering high compressive strength and dimensional stability. They are an ideal replacement for many bronze and phenolic applications and can be split for use in piston bearing applications.
WB - NYLON & PHENOLIC WEARBANDS - INCH
Bearings are made from glass filled nylon with excellent compressive strength. They are used for piston applications between sets of vee packing.
