Glass filled nylon adapters are compatible with most fluids and will withstand constant temperatures up to 275 ° F, making them suitable for use with Viton and duck for semi-high temperature and fluid applications. Vitex (Viton and Nomex; a very high temperature fabric containing Kevlar and fiberglass) can be used at constant temperatures up to 400 ° F. The sets in this section are supplied with both Hytrel®, fabric and rubber vees, and nylon adapters. Hytrel® Vees are added to these sets to aid in low pressure sealing, and to wipe the rod dry. Nylon adapters are superior to fabric and rubber for extrusion resistance. Pressure ratings increase with the number of vee rings. Consult sales for more information.
