The OK style outer sealing rings are step cut, and are made from glass-filled polyamide. The rectangular energizer is a molded 70 durometer Shore A nitrile. They are primarily designed for heavy duty, double acting hydraulic applications. The sealing set is capable of passing a port and can be used up to 10,000 PSI (680 bar) with proper fitting. Its advantages are small profile, resistant to shock loads, and low breakout and running friction even after lengthy standstill under high pressures. They install easily due to the split outer sealing ring and offer high abrasion and extrusion resistance at high pressures and large clearance gaps.
