Our AS7 series piston seals are machined from bronze filled PTFE for the most severe applications. Material: 40% Bronze-filled PTFE/Nitrile. Standard expander rings on this series piston seal are round or square cross section, high memory 70 durometer nitrile; however, FKM expanders are available. Consult sales for pricing and delivery of special compounds.

This nylon backup ring is used next to PTFE piston seals for added extrusion resistance, and can boost pressure ratings for the seal. They are commonly found on Asian-manufactured construction equipment. They are used in pairs, but sold individually.
